This failure kept me in spiritual poverty and when I finally began understanding these principles, Christ's words were literally true for me, "you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32). -

How does a Christian sin? If I have been "crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, " (Galatians 2:20) then does Christ sin in me? Obviously not. So, how does a Christian sin? -
Faith is arguably one of the most basic and important aspects of godliness. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). The righteous will live by faith (Galatians 3:11). Jesus even proclaims, "It shall be done to you according to your faith? (Matthew 9:29). -
The good news of scripture is that, as human beings, we are failure - utter, incurable, hopeless failures. This is great news because God works more powerfully through our weakness than our strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). -
Have you ever sat in a Sabbath School class and someone says, "We are saved by grace through faith and not by works!" And after everyone nods in agreement someone pipes up with, "But, of course, we must obey. After all we are judged by our works." And then a seemingly endless round of argument and counterargument ensues. -
"Why is it taking Him so long?", "Why does the Holy of Holies in the Holiest place in the universe need cleansing?" "What is my part in Christ's sanctuary work?" and "Why/How am I failing that work?" -
What does it mean to fear God? Is it just a watered-down reverence or is it something more, something powerful, something visceral? -
The Three Angel's Messages are our messages. We are the angels of the Three Angel's Messages. Are we doing our job? Can we list, even in general terms, the three messages? -
God is often called omnipotent, but that is not strictly true. He has intentionally and lovingly taken power away from Himself and given it to us: the power of choice. -
The Bible is clear that we must judge others (1 Corinthians 5:1-3). It is also clear that we must not judge others (Matthew 7:1). How can we reconcile this seeming contradiction?
