WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

During our journey through life’s trials and tribulations, we frequently find ourselves faced with the question, “where are you going?”–a translation of the Latin term “quo vadis.” Quo Vadis is also the name of a well-known book written by Polish author Henryk Sienkiewicz and a 1951 epic film, both of which depict the persecution suffered by the early Christians in ancient Rome. Thus, the name of our ministry – Quo Vadis. The name reflects our mission to encourage those confronted with the difficult challenges of today’s world to rethink their choices in life and to consider a better, more hopeful way of living.

With the ever-increasing complexity of a modern fast-paced society, there are few opportunities to ponder our direction in life. As a result, we tend to drift along aimlessly through a minefield of temptations, distractions, and unrelenting busywork, while life passes us by. But there is another way. We have the love of a Savior, Jesus Christ, who bids us to come to him – those who labor and are heavy laden – and he will give us rest (Matthew 11:28).

No matter where you are in life, despite mistakes, poor decisions, or misfortune that has left you questioning your direction, though the trials may keep coming, nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:39).
